Why God Why

I know this is a frequently asked question among Christian believers....

When we don't understand what God is trying to do....it's a very natural question to ask...

'Why God Why?' We see the world is full of evil and tragedy. We see that even good Christians can suffer lack and unjust treatment on this earth. This tells us a resounding truth -- we as believers of Jesus Christ do not belong to this world. We belong to God and His kingdom. We though have the privilege in knowing and following God, we also have the privilege to suffer like Christ does on this earth. We don't just inherit God's blessing but also share His suffering!

We all love to hear the 'blessing' part, we don't love to hear the 'suffering' part.

But this is where the true gospel lies -- we share God's blessing as well as suffering. With our sufferings with Christ, we know that we are truly His. Without suffering with Christ on this earth, the alarm bell should be on that we really need to evaluate our relationship with God, see if we are really really His. As His followers on this earth, we make ourselves an enemy to those who do not know God. This earth as in the Bible describes belong to Satan, Satan is the one controlling everything on this earth. Satan has all sort of evil influence towards those non-believers, blinding them from the light of God that they fail to see the light of God. Satan is darkness, God is light!

Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. [1 Peter 4:13]

The Bible also encourage us believers to rejoice in the fact that we share Christ's suffering, in our suffering we know that we do belong to Christ, we walk His path of suffering on this earth and so we shall also share His blessings. Brothers and sisters, we are in the end time, we really need to safeguard our position in Christ, to make sure we are really His on this earth. We need to safeguard our Salvation in the Lord, lest some will drift away and lose their inheritance up in heaven.

And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. [1 Peter 1:5]

May we learn to humble ourselves before God, willing to suffer for Christ' sake. Knowing that all your labour in God's Kingdom will be not wasted. Help us to pray for God's strengthening when we feel weak, God will come to rescue us. God is faithful to reward those who are faithful to Him. Amen.
