Do you realise that spiritual world is a real thing? Friends, we are not just living in a physical world but also the spiritual world as well. With our eyes, we can see what is in the physical world, and because of that, we sometimes fail to remember or notice there is indeed a spiritual world around us. Yes, we believed in God, we are saved by Grace, Jesus has redeemed our lives back to Him. We are cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. We are forgiven when we acknowledged Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. Somehow, as believers, we sometimes take light of the spiritual reality in our lives. Or we sometimes just treat it as nothing to us.
When we placed our trust in God, God is invisible to us. We don't see God with our eyes, but it is by FAITH that we believed He exists. God is a spirit. In the Bible, we are warned and reminded of a spiritual battle on earth, yes. The Bible does talk about spiritual battle, including in the end chapter of the Bible (Revelation). If it is of no significance, the Bible wouldn't mention it to us. In Ephesians 6:12, 'For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.'
We have a common enemies - Satan is the father of all lies, he is the rule of the world (ruling over those who do not believe in God). In Ephesians, we are reminded of how to fight right and well in spiritual battle, we are not against flesh and blood (which is another human being, another person we see). Our war is against cosmic powers and all the spiritual forces of evil. Our war is never against another human being or person BUT the spirits ruling over those people. The evil forces behind the person!
Only when we understand this, that our fight would be right and well.
There are many spiritual forces out in the world, we are living in the world with all sort of dark things and forces. We are in a constant war against the enemies of God. We are one team with the Lord, people who do not know God is one team with Satan and all his evil forces.
You might feel like reading a comic right now. Maybe you just got to realise you and I are in a spiritual warfare. In Revelation 12:7-9 revealing the reality to us, "Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world - he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him."
May the Lord himself opens up your eyes and ears to see and listen.
The devil and Satan were thrown down altogether with his angels to the EARTH we live in. They were thrown down from heaven to earth!!!
See how important for us believers to know this truth!!!! To know that we have enemies on earth to fight against.....not flesh and blood, but the spiritual forces behind people (who do not know God).
God has taught us to how to fight well:
Ephesians 6:14-18
Fasten with the belt of TRUTH (God's truth from His words in the Bible)
Put on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS (We are made right with God, having the righteousness in Christ Jesus)
Put on shoes, the readiness given by the gospel of PEACE (We have peace from God for the forgiveness of sins)
Take up the shield of FAITH, you can extinguish the flaming darts from the evil one (Faith as our shield to guard our heart and mind)
Take the helmet of SALVATION, the SWORD of the spirit which is THE WORD OF GOD
Pray at all times without ceasing
Those are the ways how we fight well in spiritual battle!!
Knowing the TRUTH in the Bible, believing the TRUTH in the Bible.
Knowing WHO WE ARE in Christ Jesus, we are cleansed and forgiven, we are MADE RIGHT in God's sight, we have PEACE with God, hold onto God given SALVATION and use the WORD OF GOD to fight...and never stop praying!!!
