How are you doing in your prayer life? Especially when you as the parents need to uphold your children in prayer. It is no easy task for sure. You worry this and that because you know that you are somehow responsible for your children' growth. You are mindful of pretty much their everything. We can find rest in the word of God, let's look at Matt 11, v. 28-30 together:
[28] "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. "
Yes, the Lord is asking you and me to go to Him, go to Him that we will find our rest in Him. He is the provider of our peace so that we might find true REST and PEACE in Him. The Lord also asks us to learn from Him, He is gentle and lowly in heart, He guaranteed that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. How often would you pause and rest in His love? Yes, resting in His love just FOR YOU, nobody else. He loves you. He will carry all your worries and burdens on your behalf. Even though Jesus was raised to life and He is seated in heaven with His Father, Jesus does not stop interceding for every one of us - His people. Jesus does not stop interceding on our behalf! Rest assured with this promise and this truth from the Bible, take courage, knowing that God cares for you and your children.
Jesus speaks to the Father on our behalf. Romans 8:34 says that Jesus “is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” In 1 John 2:1 we read that Jesus is our “advocate with the Father,” and from Hebrews 7:25 we learn that Jesus “always lives to intercede” for us.
How relieving to know that our Lord God, Jesus is there for us and He intercedes for us non-stop. For He cares for each one of us and He knows all that we need!! Just like how He carried all our sins up on the Cross when He sacrificed himself for our sins. He now seated with the Father up in heaven, no longer suffer anymore. However, His love for us never ends, He never stops interceding for us. As we look unto Him for strength and wisdom, He will give us.
How blessed we really are, just think about Jesus, knowing what Jesus has been doing for you and me. He has been and always been interceding, praying on our behalf!! Wow!!!
Are you feeling heavy or weary right now? Come to the Lord Jesus, rest in Him, trust Him that in His timing and in His way, He will do it. Thanks be to God! Amen.
