Ways that we can address God

Perhaps you started to believe in God and you would like to build up a habit of praying every day. Here below would be some guidelines for you.

There are many ways to address God in our prayer, knowing that God is one, He alone is our Creator God since He created the world, and everything in it (nature such as mountain and rivers; all living things such as birds, ants, plants, and humanity). He is a PERSONAL GOD as well -- He knows you thoroughly and He knows me thoroughly too. He knows each one of us, He knows us so personally. He is very personal to us that we know that He knows us, we can share whatever with Him in such an intimate and close way. He lives in heavenly throne and therefore we can call Him our 'Heavenly Father'.

In our prayers, we can address God as the followings -

Dear 'Heavenly Father'

Dear God

Dear Creator God

Dear Lord

My dearest friend

God sent His only Son Jesus to die for all humanity sins. The Lord Jesus is the one we are praying to as well as the Heavenly Father created all humanity. Remember that when we end our prayers, we say, ' in Jesus' name I pray, amen'. In the bible, we are instructed to pray in the name of Jesus - through Jesus' death up on the Cross, Jesus defeated the evil one, Jesus defeated 'death' on our behalf, we are no longer die (in a spiritual sense) and now through the blood of Jesus (which He shed for us), we can have a RENEWED relationship with the Heavenly Father. So, every time we pray to God, we need to pray through the name of Jesus. Only through Jesus, we can get access to God. Only through the name of Jesus, God will hear us.

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. [Romans 5:2 NLT]

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. [Hebrews 4:14 NIV]
