The holy spirit is our daily guidance, don't you agree? Jesus, after His ascension, He promised us believers that He will send His holy spirit to dwell in us. Dwell in us, within us. The holy spirit will guide us into all truths, the holy spirit will remind us for what God said to us in His holy word (the Bible). We will not get confused or be deceived when we rely on the holy spirit living within us. Satan, the enemy of God can cause us to doubt, get confused with noises around us. This is why it is very important for believers to tune in with the Word of God daily, to listen and read His words of truth to us, so that we have His light guiding us at all times.
The antichrist is all around us, those that are rejecting the Word of God as the only TRUTH, those that are intentionally rejecting the love of Christ. The Bible reminds us to test all spirits in the world:
1 John 4:1-3,"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God."
John 16:13-15, "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
The one who is serving the Lord Christ will not claim himself/herself greater than the Lord. There are many false teachers and prophets, they claimed to be someone great. However, we can detect their falsehood by their behaviour and attitude in serving others. We are all God's workmanship, we are all under the Lord's lordship, His lordship and not a particular church leader or preacher. Remember how the Lord taught us through Apostle Paul, we are not followers of Paul or anyone, but we are followers of Christ Jesus. Whenever you see anyone honouring themselves, lifting themselves high above others, we need to beware of those people. But when we see people honouring Christ Jesus, praising Christ Jesus and pointing people to Christ Jesus. We know that those are the true followers of Christ! As God's servant - this is really our identity! We point people not to ourselves but to Christ Jesus. We serve Christ Jesus because of His love for us. Though we might have received different types of spiritual gifts, that shall not make us proud at all! All we have received, we received from the love of God and because of His mercy and grace, we now can SERVE HIM without condemnation or with guilty feeling. Amen.
As followers of Christ Jesus, we need to be on the alert as Satan will try to deceive as many as possible, even the elect also. We need to learn the truth of God in His Word (the Bible), pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truths and bring us clarity daily (if needed). We are to stand firm till the very end! More importantly, whatever gifts you might have from the Lord, use it for His glory, not your own! We don't deserve anything from the Lord at all, remember we are living under the grace of God. Always remind faithful and thankful to God. Don't let any prideful emotion to control you, let the Holy Spirit controls your whole being for the Glory of God.
May I also encourage you brothers and sisters to pray and intercede for those that have gone away from the Lord, pray and ask God to bring them back again. Some might have lost their focus, serving themselves instead of Christ Jesus. We can stand in the gap, praying for God to convict them and bring them back again. Surely, there are some in the church working against Christ and His people too. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you clarity on that.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
Whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name. “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. 1 Chronicles 29:11-14
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36
