Reading of Psalms

Have you ever read out Psalms and make it your own prayers to the Lord?

Even Jesus himself quoted Psalms when He prays to His heavenly Father. I just can't express enough the benefits of reading out Psalms daily and use the Psalms as your own prayer to God. We exalt the name of our Almighty God in times of our trouble and crisis, and as we do that, we remember our God is the God of the universe, He is the upholder of our lives on earth. Heaven and Earth are His. We know that most Psalms are written by King David, how he cried out to the Lord as many are his enemies that pursuing him. He sought God's help and He sought God as His one and only refuge! Praise God for all His deliverance to His people.

Let me quote Psalm 54 and let us meditate on the Word of God and let us remember who God is...

v.1 Oh God, save me by your name, and vindicate me by your might.

v.2Oh God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.

v.4 Behold, God is my helper, the Lord is the upholder of my life.

v.5 He will return the evil to my enemies; in your faithfulness put an end to them.

v.7 (personalise it as your own prayer)

For you Lord God, you will deliver me from every trouble, and Lord,  you will enable my eye to look in triumph on all my enemies. AMEN.

Let us exalt the name Our God in all the circumstances we are facing each day. Declare it like you mean it. Declare the Lord's victory in your everyday life. The Lord God will do it, for the Glory of His name. Amen and Amen.

Here above, in verse 7 is just an example how we can personalise the Psalm as our own prayer to God. Hope you find it helpful and as you pray through Psalm to God each day. The Lord God himself shall be your guide and shall be your strength. Amen.
